Andrew
Kibarian
Andrew Kibarian learned at a young age the meaning of
hard work, balancing football, school and owning a business all at the age of
13.
Andrew
Kibarian is better known to his friends as AK, and was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
At the age five he moved with his parents, Ed and Anna, and his two brothers,
Daniel and Nathan, to Lynnfield, Massachusetts, Kibarian said.
When Kibarian
reached middle school he has already found a love for football, but he also
fell in love with money.
In the
seventh grade Kibarian started his own landscaping company call Pioneer
Landscaping. It started small mowing a few lawns and grew to mowing about 35
lawns a week, Kibarian said.
“I
never had a problem with manual labor, I’ve been mowing my lawn since I was six
so I figured I would try to make some money and help some people out,” Kibarian
said.
Kibarian’s
close customers keep using his services until the summer of 2014, when he had
to stop his company, because Kibarian had didn’t have time between moving to
college and playing football.
Jim
Doucette was one of Kibarian’s customers.
“He did
great work, on time. He had a schedule with his lawn and he never strayed away
from it,” Doucette said.
Kibarian’s
work ethic carried into Lynnfield High School as well where he was an A student
and the dual varsity athlete.

Kibarian
was a four year starter on his high school football team earning captain honors
his junior and senior year along with a league MVP his senior year, his
football coach Neil Weidman said.
“AK was someone I could trust, someone I knew
would do the right thing even when no one was watching. He was a great captain
and the kids really followed his lead,” Weidman said.
Weidman,
who was also the wrestling coach at the high school, convinced Kibarian to
start wrestling his sophomore year Kibarian said.
As a
wrestler Kibarian was part of the heavyweight class when he placed third in the
Massachusetts State Finals his senior year and won the league title, Weidman
said.
In 2014, Kibarian was contacted by Lynnfield High School officials
who wanted to induct him in to the Hall of Fame for his efforts on the varsity
wrestling team. In the winter of 2014 Kibarian was invited back to a Wrestling
match where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame, Kibarian said.

After high school Kibarian landed himself a spot on the
Stonehill College football team and is in his third year as the starting
defensive end.
Defensive line coach Kenny Goodwin, worked closely with
Kibarian all three years Kibarian said.
“As soon as AK got here we knew he was going to fit into
our defensive scheme and he did,” Goodwin said.
Kibarian is active on the football field and actively
working toward a degree in criminology with hopes of joining the state police,
Kibarian said.
“I want to help people when I am older and I feel like
being a state trooper will be a perfect way of doing that,” Kibarian said.
